<p>This is probably one of my better known songs and one of my favorites to sing through the years. I wrote it in the late seventies and while most of my songs to that point had been stories and testimonies, this is the first song I wrote to God. Today we would classify it as contemporary praise and worship which wasn&#8217;t a &#8216;thing&#8217; back that time.</p>

<p>A live, acoustic performance of the one song I have written which stands out from all the others as my favorite.</p>

<p>I remember one of my very best friends came up to the day after I&#8217;d given my life to Jesus, he was actually the drummer in the band were playing with at the time, and said, “we have some dates in Iowa we’re supposed to play, is that going to work out?” I said, “Well, it’s really not.” He looked at me and said, “Oh why, what&#8217;s wrong?” I told him I gave my life to Jesus. He just looked at me, incredibly puzzled.</p>
